One of the biggest challenges of Daikin’s 4.1 million square foot build-out was determining how each area of this site would be used. Beyond building a distribution center, the customer needed technology experts to guide them to what they needed.
DAIKIN PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
We’ve partnered with customers during the construction-programming phase for many large-scale projects, but this one was the largest build-out by far. i.e.Smart Systems presented Daikin with hundreds of conceptual schematics and products for its three-quarter mile facility. This involved stepping through different scenarios and budgets with the general contractor and the end-user.
Through this close partnership, Daikin was able to select a plan that included:
- Fiberoptic Information Transport Systems, for operational efficiency
- Voice and Data Systems
- Audio Visual Systems
- Security Infrastructure, including installation of wireless access points
Because i.e.Smart Systems is licensed in the state of Texas, we were also asked to install Electronic Safety and Security mechanisms including access control for vendors.
The entire Daikin project was completed within the proposed 2-year timeframe, within budget, and with 0 accidents. i.e.Smart Systems provides all of its customers with a Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty.
