Co-founder of i.e.Smart Systems, Doug is responsible for driving the corporate vision and cultivating partner relationships. He believes if you work hard and have passion, everyone will benefit on the team – and especially clients.

Doug began his long career in technology services as a site electrician running large-scale, high-voltage projects out of the basement of the Texas Commerce Tower, today known as the Chase Tower. Doug eventually moved his career to J.P. Morgan Chase where he led the charge for one of the most notable advancements in the banking industry technology, check imaging. He is credited for resolving high-stakes system malfunctions for Chase as their Global Crisis Manager and is still known throughout the industry for rising to the challenge of crisis situations. Following the years at Chase, Doug and his brother Gary founded i.e.Smart Systems to bring the best technology and service advancements to client projects.

Doug holds a BICSI certification as a Registered Communications Distribution Designer as well as a Texas Security Manager License. Doug has also served on the Board of His Grace Foundation, a charity that assists patients of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit of Texas Children’s Hospital and their families. As an honors graduate of the Houston Police Academy, Doug leverages his experience in law enforcement, crisis management, sales, and technology services to drive effective resolutions for the customers at i.e.Smart Systems.

In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and football. Doug is a top fan, with his Dog Dixie Belle, for the Houston Texans and the Aggies. Doug loves country music and is just a regular 20th century, old-time cowboy.
