“i.e.SmartSystems is committed to safety. Our goal is “Zero Accidents”. We know that this can only be achieved through the commitment to our safety policies and programs by all levels of management, dedicated employee involvement, as well as dedication to safety training and daily safety/quality site inspections.
We recognize that the responsibility for health and safety are shared. Employees will be equally responsible for minimizing accidents within our facilities and on our work sites. Safe work practices and job procedures will be clearly defined in the company’s Health and Safety Manual for all employees to follow.
One of the accomplishments we are very proud of at i.e.SmartSystems, is being the recipient of the 2014 AGC Houston Safety Excellence Award. We believe this is due to our constant involvement in safety and safety awareness by our employees and managers. We strive to consistently update our safety policies and procedures as new safety issues arise. Our safety program is updated yearly and passed on to all employees.
With the goal of improving our safety awareness, other actions that we have begun implementing are to have an on-site OSHA 10/30 hour instructor for General Industry and Construction as well as subscribing to Business Legal Reports (BLR) safety website for all of our in house safety training needs. As part of our extensive new hire orientation program, we spend an ample amount of time strictly on safety. We are persistent in refreshing our current employees with updated safety training to ensure all of our employees are on the same path for zero accidents.
We are constantly making impromptu site inspections of our on-going projects. We also pay very close attention to the quality of our installations and make recommendations on ways to improve our install. “
